We, the Schares Family, offer you a warm welcome to our farm, Hetzgeshof, in Jucken, near the borders of Germany with Luxembourg and Belgium.
The farmhouse is of the traditional Eifel-type, known as a "Flur-Küchenhaus", which in English might be called a "Parlour-kitchen house". It dates back to the early 19th Century and has been lovingly and carefully restored by us over the years. What drove us on was the dream of creating something special, which we would like to invite you to share.
Discover the house with its two authentically furnished holiday flats "Morgensonne" ("Morning Sun") and "Bauernkammern" ("Farmer's Chambers") which offer you – through the blending of old building features with modern kitchens and bathrooms – a very special quality of accommodation.
With the lovingly restored dwelling-house, the original bake-house and smithy and the old stalls, our listed farmyard complex reflects the atmosphere of the living and building culture of the Eifel around the year 1900. If you are looking for accommodation that reflects everything which is authentic and original in the Eifel, you have found exactly the right place!
Step in through the entrance framed by its old chestnut trees, and enter a past world in which you can forget the hectic life of our times!
